MISRA Technical Report, Diagnostics and Integrated Vehicle Systems Published in February 1995, this report is a summary of the findings of one of the aspects of the MISRA study leading to the 1994 MISRA Development Guidelines. This report covers the aspects of vehicle engineering which relate to the use of software to support integrated communications and diagnostics networks. The subjects addressed in this report are whole vehicle architecture, communications and multiplexing, on-board diagnostics, off-board diagnostics, tools and testing. The aim is to review the wider aspects of automotive engineering which can directly influence the software which is eventually embedded in vehicles. Provided for historical reference and interest; ISO 26262 is now considered "state of the art"
